Romantic Comedy (hybrid)

Conventions:



The film would usually be set in a big city like New York and the characters would usually be in their twentys and single. It could also be set in high school involving a guy who doesn't usually get the girl but at the end he does.The characters would usually be a man and a woman and they would fall in love but they won't get together till the end because things keep going wrong.Romanctic comedies are usually very predictable in the sense that you know the characters are going to be get together at the end. The male character is usually a typical 'loser' and 'geek' if the film is set in high school and he would usually have a crush on the female character who would usually be popular and a cheerleader.
